Job summary

AirRoad Logistics is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor for its NSW operations, based at Pemulwuy with relocation to Kemps Creek in 2027. You will lead a team, oversee inbound deliveries, receipting, storage and ensure KPI targets are met.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, NSW, you will manage resource planning, coordinate contractors and liaise with customer service and dispatch teams to maintain efficient operations.

Job description

AirRoad Logistics is looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics Supervisor to join our NSW operations team at our Pemulwuy site.

This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe management of inbound deliveries, receipting, storage and warehouse activities, while ensuring customer requirements and operational KPIs are consistently achieved.

Please note: AirRoad Logistics is expected to relocate its NSW operations from Pemulwuy to our new Kemps Creek facility in Q1 2027. The successful candidate will be required to work from the Kemps Creek site following the relocation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, NSW, you will oversee the day-to-day inbound operations and lead a team to ensure deliveries are received, processed and stored safely and efficiently.

You will play a key role in coordinating warehouse resources, managing contractor activities, monitoring operational performance and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate inbound deliveries to the warehouse.

• Supervise the unloading, receipting and put-away of inbound goods.

• Ensure incoming goods are safely stored and processed in line with client KPIs.

• Manage delivery discrepancies, damages, customer returns and credit returns.

• Coordinate the container unloading contractor team, including scheduling priorities, pallet configurations and monitoring labour hours.

• Manage labour requirements and resources across the receiving area in line with operational volumes.

• Monitor and report on inbound operational KPIs.

• Manage surplus pallet levels on site, including client-provided pallets.

• Coordinate CHEP and Loscam pallet requirements.

• Liaise daily with Customer Service, Bulk Pick/Pack, Dispatch and other operational teams.

• Process reworked goods into stock and ensure appropriate put-away.

• Complete weekly agency and AirRoad timesheet processing for payroll.

• Train and support new team members within the inbound area.

• Identify and address operational issues to maintain efficient warehouse performance.

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and accountable logistics professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and has the ability to lead people and coordinate competing operational priorities.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.

• Supervisory or team leadership experience.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A practical understanding of customer service and client requirements.

• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

• The ability to organise labour, resources and workloads effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and accountability.

• The ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.

Hours:

Average 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required to meet operational requirements.
