Job summary

AirRoad Logistics invites applications for a Team Leader – Logistics at the Pemulwuy site in NSW. You will coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities, lead a team of full-time and casual staff, and ensure shipments are processed safely and efficiently to meet service levels.

Job description

AirRoad Logistics is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader – Logistics to join our NSW operations team at our Pemulwuy site.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Logistics, you will play a hands-on role in coordinating day-to-day warehouse activities, leading team members and ensuring shipments are processed efficiently, safely and in line with agreed service levels and AirRoad quality standards.

AirRoad Logistics is expected to relocate its NSW operations from Pemulwuy to our new Kemps Creek facility in Q1 2027.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the effective operation of your work area, coordinating employees and ensuring operational requirements, KPIs and service levels are consistently achieved.

You will work closely with the Logistics Supervisor, State Manager, Inventory Controller and other operational leaders to maintain a safe, efficient and high-performing warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely and efficient processing of shipments through the work area in accordance with agreed service levels and AirRoad quality standards.
• Lead, coordinate and support full-time and casual team members to achieve daily operational requirements.
• Monitor workflow throughout the day and provide regular updates to the Logistics Supervisor and State Manager.
• Escalate operational issues where KPIs, service levels or customer requirements may be compromised.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organised and efficient warehouse operation.
• Work closely with the Inventory Controller and other Supervisors to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving service levels, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Support the implementation of new customers, processes and operational changes.
• Assist the State Manager and Supervisors with driving operational improvements and change across the warehouse.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• Report hazards and contribute to identifying practical solutions to unsafe acts and conditions.
• Undertake other operational responsibilities consistent with your skills, qualifications and experience.

About You

We are looking for a confident and hands-on team leader who can effectively coordinate people and warehouse operations in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment, preferably in a Team Leader or similar supervisory role.
• Experience leading and coordinating full-time and casual employees.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound IT skills and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes and operational requirements.
• The ability to monitor KPIs, service levels and operational performance.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
• The ability to work collaboratively with Supervisors, Managers and other operational teams.
