Transport & Logistics Operations for a Leading National Pool Industry Supplier

Pool Pro is one of Australia's leading wholesale suppliers of pool chemicals and related products. We are seeking an experienced and driven Transport & Logistics operator to take ownership of our transport and distribution operations.

This is a pivotal role focused on managing our fleet, coordinating freight movements, optimising transport efficiency, and maintaining strong relationships with external freight providers.

The position is currently based at our Milperra facility, with operations scheduled to relocate to a purpose-designed site in Ingleburn in the coming months. Candidates should be willing and able to work from both locations during the transition period.

About the Role

As the Transport & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all transport and distribution activities to ensure customer deliveries are completed accurately, efficiently and on time.

You will manage the daily scheduling and utilisation of company trucks and vans, coordinate external freight partners, monitor freight costs and service levels, and work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance operational demands while driving continuous improvement across the logistics function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all transport and logistics operations across the business.
• Schedule and optimise daily delivery runs for the company fleet.
• Oversee vehicle utilisation, compliance, maintenance scheduling and transport efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external freight providers and carriers.
• Coordinate freight bookings, tracking, collections and deliveries.
• Monitor freight performance, delivery outcomes and transport costs.
• Liaise with sales, customer service, warehouse and operations teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
• Proactively resolve delivery issues and customer service matters.
• Maintain high levels of customer service through effective communication and problem resolution.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service levels and cost control.
• Maintain accurate freight, logistics and transport documentation and records.
• Ensure compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety requirements, Chain of Responsibility obligations and company policies.
• Provide support and oversight to warehouse dispatch activities as required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a Transport Manager, Logistics Manager, Fleet Manager, Transport Coordinator or similar role.
• Demonstrated experience managing fleet operations and transport scheduling.
• Experience working with third-party freight providers and carriers.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, freight and distribution processes.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Forklift Licence highly regarded.
• Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
