Job summary

Employer Hub in Sydney's Lane Cove area seeks a Logistics Co-ordinator / 2IC to Logistics Manager for a hands-on role in a small team. You will manage daily shipping, coordinate couriers, prepare orders for dispatch and oversee stock levels.

The role combines desk-based documentation ( bookings, tracking, and customs) with practical warehouse work, including forklift tasks when needed. A proactive, team-oriented candidate who is reliable and computer-literate will thrive here.

Responsibilities

• Daily shipping involvement from dispatch to overseas shipments.
• Coordinate daily courier collections and freight follow-ups.
• Prepare HAWB/SLI docs, certificates of origin, and customs paperwork.
• Monitor stock levels and liaise with Purchasing/Logistics Manager.
• Delegate tasks to storeperson/forklift driver as needed.
• Balance 60% admin/documentation with 40% hands-on warehouse work.

Work Office Hours, 9am to 5pm, Mon to Fri

Have a forklift licence for your contribution now and then, as needed (NOT hi-reach)

Car owner/driver, or local to Lane Cove, as transport is limited (bus not train)

THE ROLE

Daily shipping involvement - Process & prepare orders for dispatch, including overseas

Handle the complete process from booking FedEx etc to recording track nos. in Odoo (not used it? support provided and you'll pick it up if you are the computer-literate candidate we need).

Co-ordinate daily courier collections, and all aspects of freight/follow-ups, updating customers etc.

HAWB/SLI documents: prep and check, along with Certificates of Origin, customs, etc. etc.

Monitor stock levels and liaise with Purchasing/Logistics Manager

Prepare orders including protective packing, checking a 100% match against customer's remit; quality checks

Delegate tasks as you settle in to a storeperson/forklift driver

Perform roughly 60% computer/documentation/admin tasks -vs- 40% hands-on physical stores work, including forklift. But no two days are the same, so being flexible and across all aspects of this modern warehouse is mandatory.
