Job summary

Neil Mansell Group is seeking an experienced Logistics Allocator / Transport Coordinator to join the Toowoomba Head Office team and manage trucks travelling between Brisbane and Darwin. You will coordinate trucks, drivers, loads and schedules to ensure freight moves safely, efficiently and on time.

The role involves allocating trucks, coordinating daily schedules, communicating with drivers and customers, monitoring progress and handling delays.

Qualifications

• Highly organised and able to manage multiple trucks and jobs at once.
• Experienced in transport allocation, logistics or fleet coordination.
• Confident communicating with drivers and customers.
• Good at problem solving and working under pressure.
• Familiar with Australian road transport and long-distance freight operations.
• Competent with transport management systems, spreadsheets and GPS/tracking systems.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Experience with the Brisbane–Darwin route or northern Australia freight is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Allocate trucks and loads for Brisbane–Darwin freight movements.
• Coordinate daily schedules and driver movements.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, depots and loading sites.
• Monitor truck movements and delivery progress.
• Organise pick-ups, deliveries and loading/unloading requirements.
• Manage changes, delays and issues during transit; maintain records.
• Ensure drivers have correct freight, paperwork and instructions.
• Coordinate return loads to maximise truck utilisation.
• Liaise with customers regarding delivery times and updates.
• Ensure transport operations comply with company procedures and road transport requirements.

We are looking for an experienced and organised Logistics Allocator / Transport Coordinator to join our Toowoomba Head Office Team and manage the movement of trucks travelling between Brisbane and Darwin.

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating trucks, drivers, loads and delivery schedules to ensure freight moves safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate trucks and loads for Brisbane–Darwin freight movements
• Coordinate daily schedules and driver movements
• Communicate with drivers, customers, depots and loading sites
• Monitor truck movements and delivery progress
• Organise pick-ups, deliveries and loading/unloading requirements
• Manage changes, delays and unexpected issues during transitMaintain accurate transport and delivery records
• Ensure drivers have the correct freight, paperwork and instructions
