Apprenticeships Are Us is offering Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeships across Sydney, NSW. Start or continue your automotive career while earning wages and working toward the AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

Opportunities exist in major dealerships and independent workshops, with mentoring and hands-on experience from day one. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents and have a genuine passion for cars.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for cars and automotive technology.
• Hands-on, mechanically minded approach.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction and apply feedback.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a workshop team.
• Current driver’s licence (P1+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing and general vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment and workshop technology.
• Repair and maintain braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Assist with engine repairs and component replacement.
• Carry out vehicle inspections, testing and safety checks.
• Read and follow manufacturer specifications and repair procedures.
• Use hand and power tools and specialised automotive equipment.
• Develop diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment.
