Job summary

Apprenticeships Are Us in NSW is seeking motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentices for opportunities across Melrose Park and surrounding areas. You will begin your apprenticeship and gain hands-on experience while completing the AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

You’ll work with qualified automotive technicians in major dealerships or independent workshops, gaining practical vehicle servicing, diagnosing and repair experience as you learn.

Qualifications

• Hands-on and mechanically minded approach.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Strong work ethic and reliable attitude.
• Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving.
• The ability to travel to allocated host employer.

Responsibilities

• Learn servicing and maintenance on real vehicles.
• Assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Inspect and repair braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Assist with engine repairs and component replacement.
• Carry out oil, filter and fluid changes.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Follow workshop procedures and maintain a safe workspace.
