Apprenticeships Are Us is offering a 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice role in Elsternwick, VIC. You’ll join a host employer and begin a hands-on automotive career in a professional workshop environment while completing the AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

Qualifications

• No previous automotive experience required.
• Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Current driver’s licence (P1 or above preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical faults.
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues.
• Service and repair braking systems.
• Work on steering and suspension systems.
• Assist with engine servicing and mechanical repairs.
• Maintain and repair cooling systems.
• Work with vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
• Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Complete safety and vehicle inspections.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
