Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a Licensing Assessment Officer in Brisbane to manage licensing applications end-to-end, including Owner Builder Permit submissions, liaising with applicants and stakeholders to resolve enquiries, and ensuring timely, compliant outcomes.

You will apply research and judgement to interpret legislation and internal procedures, maintain accurate records, and use systems confidently to support service delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage licensing applications from intake to decision, including Owner Builder Permit applications.
• Request further information from clients and assess risks before outcomes.
• Interpret legislation, standards and procedures to ensure accurate, defensible decisions.
• Engage with applicants, homeowners and stakeholders to resolve inquiries and provide quality service.
• Maintain accurate records and support general administrative tasks.
