Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking energetic Library Officers to provide exceptional customer service across our four libraries. You will assist at the desk, shelve materials, and support community programs while helping patrons with digital technologies and collections.

You will join a Client Services team that values literacy, learning and service to the community, with opportunities to work across multiple branches and participate in ongoing training and development.

Qualifikationen

• Passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Enthusiasm for library services, collections and programs.
• Strong communication skills across age groups.
• Ability to work across multiple library locations in the Rockhampton Region.
• Physical ability to perform bending, squatting and lifting up to 15kg.

• $55.19 per hour (LGIA Stream A Level 2) + Superannuation

Your new role

RRC Libraries are seeking energetic and customer-focused team members who understand the dynamics of a modern library and loves being of service.

As a Library Officer, you will have excellent people skills and be responsible for providing quality customer service to our diverse community.

As a member of the Client Services team, you will be keen to serve customers in many ways: - serving at the customer desk, performing shelving duties, delivering community programs, providing technology assistance, and supporting collection management.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

• Passion for providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with members of the community and fellow library staff.
• Enthusiasm for library services including collections and resources, programming, digital technologies and a commitment to promoting reading, literacy and lifelong learning.
• Highly effective communication skills to relate to people in all age and ability groups.
• Ability to work across any of our four libraries in the Rockhampton Region.
• Ability to undertake physical work that involves regular and repetitive movements such as bending, squatting and pushing trolleys, with ability to carry and lift up to 15kg (overhead).
