Job summary

The Wagga Wagga City Library is seeking an experienced professional to coordinate multicultural services, programs and collections for CALD and ESL communities. The role sits in Outreach Services and focuses on developing multicultural programs and collaborations.

You will lead Language Café activities, advise on CALD/ESL reading materials, and build partnerships with CALD organisations while supporting desk operations and volunteer recruitment.

Qualifications

• Experience with CALD communities in a library setting.
• Knowledge of ESL and CALD learning materials.
• Experience building partnerships with CALD service providers.
• Strong computer and cash-handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Language Café sessions to ensure smooth delivery.
• Provide high-level reader advisory for CALD and ESL materials across ages.
• Network with CALD providers to promote learning and cultural celebration.
• Recruit and train Language Café volunteers.
• Assist in circulation desk duties including borrowings, memberships and cash handling.
