Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a Coordinator Outreach Programs to extend library services beyond branches, engaging children, multicultural communities, and older residents. You will lead an outreach team across Multicultural and Children’s Collections, Home Library, Mobile Library, Youth and Aged Services, plan and deliver literacy programs, and coordinate specialist collections.

You will build partnerships with schools and community organisations, contribute to budgets and service planning,

Qualifications

• Experience leading an outreach team across Multicultural and Children’s Collections, Home Library, Mobile Library, Youth and Aged Services.
• Ability to plan and deliver outreach and literacy programs.
• Proven capability to coach staff and develop team capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate outreach programs across library services.
• Manage specialist collections and coordinate services for sight-impaired or frail aged clients.
• Build relationships with schools, community organisations, health providers and cultural groups.
• Contribute to budgets, service planning and improvements across Library Services.
