Job summary

Southern Cross Care in ACT is seeking a Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to design and implement individualised leisure programs for residents, including one-to-one activities, groups, and events. You will support residents to participate in the community, monitor outcomes, and help with accreditation processes.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent, or relevant experience.
• Experience in leisure and lifestyle service provision.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, acts, regulations and codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate individualised leisure and lifestyle programs.
• Assist residents to participate in community activities and maintain friendships.
• Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure resident needs are met.
• Facilitate outing/bus trip programs and documentation.
• Seek feedback to guide quality improvement and accreditation requirements.
• Work as part of a team to deliver engaging living programs.
