Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is seeking a Casual Lifestyle Officer to work across Eastern Suburbs homes, including Maroubra and Sutherland. You will design and deliver vibrant leisure activities, supporting residents' social, emotional, physical, cultural and spiritual wellbeing while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV Leisure and Health is essential.
• Diversional Therapy qualifications and/or Aged Care qualifications are desirable.
• Experience in leisure and lifestyle service provision with knowledge of best practice approaches.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of meaningful life programs for residents to exercise independence and choice.
• Undertake resident assessments and complete related documentation.
• Design and facilitate individualized leisure and lifestyle programs for social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, physical and cognitive needs.
• Assist residents to maintain independence, friendships and community participation through planned activities.
• Monitor and evaluate programs to meet residents' needs and suggest improvements.
• Facilitate outings and bus trips with required documentation.
• Collaborate with the team to meet accreditation requirements and deliver high-quality engagement.
