Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT Leeton NSW is seeking a dedicated Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to plan, implement and evaluate personalized leisure programs for residents. You will work with the Lifestyle Coordinator to deliver one-to-one, small group and special events that promote independence and community connection.

The role requires a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or relevant experience, with strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent, or experience in Leisure and Lifestyle service provision.
• Passion for delivering high quality care that makes a difference for residents.
• Experience in leisure and lifestyle service provision.
• Relevant aged care experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to undertake leisure-based assessments and care planning with residents.
• Ability to work independently with good time management.
• Understanding of relevant laws, acts, regulations, charters and codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment and documentation for residents.
• Design and facilitate individualized leisure programs.
• Deliver one-to-one activities, group activities and events.
• Support residents to maintain independence and community participation.
• Monitor and evaluate programs for quality improvement.
• Coordinate outings and bus trips.
• Contribute to accreditation readiness through continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and team.
