Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT – Leeton NSW is seeking a Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to assess, plan, implement and evaluate personalised leisure and recreational programs for residents. The role involves one-to-one, group and event activities aligned with residents’ needs and preferences.

You will work with the Lifestyle Coordinator to design and facilitate programs, monitor outcomes and support residents in maintaining independence and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and coordinating leisure and lifestyle programs.
• Ability to assess resident needs and plan individualized activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork to support residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meaningful life programs that promote independence and choice for residents.
• Undertake resident assessments and complete documentation.
• Design and facilitate individualised leisure programs including one-to-one, group and events.
• Support residents to participate in community activities and maintain friendships.
• Monitor and evaluate programs for resident needs and improvements.
• Facilitate excursion planning and associated documentation.
• Seek resident feedback to guide quality improvement.
• Support accreditation requirements for the Leisure and Lifestyle Department.
• Work with the team to provide high-quality engagement and purposeful living opportunities.
