Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT in NSW is seeking a Casual Lifestyle Officer to lead resident-focused life programs, enriching wellbeing and providing a range of leisure activities across Eastern Suburbs homes.

You will assess residents, design and facilitate individualised programs, support independence, and help with accreditation and quality improvement, working as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver resident-focused life programs to exercise independence and choices for quality of care.
• Undertake resident assessments and complete associated documentation.
• Design and facilitate individualised leisure and lifestyle programs for social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, physical and cognitive needs.
• Provide one-to-one activities, group activities and special events.
• Assist residents to achieve maximum independence, maintain friendships and participate in the community.
• Monitor and evaluate programs to identify improvements.
• Facilitate outing/bus trip programs and document outcomes.
• Gather feedback from residents to drive quality improvement.
• Support the Leisure and Lifestyle Department to meet accreditation requirements.
