Job summary

YMCA Victoria is seeking a Centre Manager for Peter Krenz Leisure Centre in Bendigo to lead overall operations, strategy, and community engagement. You will drive customer care, aquatic safety, wellness and learn-to-swim programs while representing the YMCA and Council in the local community.

The role requires strong leadership, business and financial acumen, with a focus on safety, staff engagement, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership role within the sports/recreation industry is highly regarded.
• Proven budget management experience and financial acumen.
• Willingness to obtain Pool Lifeguard Qualification; CPR and First Aid knowledge are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple business units including Customer Care, Aquatic Safety, Health & Wellness, Operations and Learn to Swim.
• Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for centre operations.
• Build strong relationships with the City of Greater Bendigo and community groups.
• Ensure services meet community needs and uphold YMCA values.
