IAG is seeking a Decommissioning & Life Support Platforms Manager to lead teams responsible for retiring legacy applications while ensuring stable operations across multiple NZ locations. You will shape roadmaps, coordinate with business and vendor partners, and drive initiatives that reduce risk and complexity while delivering measurable business value.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled optimization, governance, and a strategic focus on modernization across Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch

Qualifications

• Experience leading legacy platform support and decommissioning initiatives.
• Strong governance and risk management skills.
• Ability to balance service continuity with simplification objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe operation and ongoing support of legacy platforms for business stakeholders.
• Drive exits, migrations and decommissioning initiatives to reduce complexity and cost.
• Develop platform roadmaps and lifecycle strategies prioritising high-value outcomes.
• Coordinate transition activities with business leaders, tech teams and vendors.
• Explore AI and automation to accelerate retirement and improve delivery.
• Track benefits through governance and lifecycle decisions.
• Build and lead teams to navigate change and transformation.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking and continuous improvement in technology value.
