Job summary

IAG is seeking a Decommissioning & Life Support Platforms Manager to lead teams responsible for retiring legacy applications while balancing stability and simplification. The role spans Australia, delivering AI-enabled, cost-efficient decommissioning outcomes across a broad stakeholder network.

You will drive roadmaps, coordinate migrations, and foster teams through change, with a focus on value and safe retirement of platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe operation and ongoing support of legacy platforms while maintaining reliable service for business stakeholders.
• Drive application exits, migrations and decommissioning initiatives that reduce technology complexity, risk and operational costs.
• Develop platform roadmaps and lifecycle strategies that support simplification and prioritise high value outcomes.
• Partner with business leaders, technology teams and vendors to coordinate transition activities and achieve successful decommissioning outcomes.
• Explore opportunities to leverage AI and automation to accelerate platform retirement and improve delivery efficiency.
• Track and realise business benefits through effective governance, risk management and lifecycle decision making.
• Build and lead capable teams that support legacy platforms while navigating change and transformation.

This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Australia.
