Job summary

The Florey Institute is seeking an experienced Gifts in Wills Program Manager to lead and grow our legacy giving program in Melbourne. You will engage prospective bequest donors, steward supporters and shape long-term philanthropic strategy to fund brain research.

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you will design initiatives, manage estate conversations and build a sustainable pipeline of future support with senior leadership backing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in gifts in wills, major gifts or philanthropy.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience managing complex donor conversations with discretion.
• Strong strategic planning and project management capability.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders while working independently.
• High levels of professionalism, empathy and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Gifts in Wills strategy and annual plans.
• Build, manage and grow a pipeline of prospective bequest supporters.
• Cultivate and steward donor relationships with families.
• Design and deliver targeted marketing and engagement initiatives.
• Manage estate administration and donor communications.
• Monitor performance, analyse results and identify growth opportunities.
• Represent the Institute at events and networking activities.
• Provide strategic reporting to senior leaders and governance groups.
