Job summary

Kolbe Catholic College is seeking a Learning Support Officer (LSO) to provide targeted support to students with diverse learning needs across St Catherine (Mickleham) and St Clare (Greenvale) campuses. You will work with teachers to implement adjustments, assist students to access the curriculum, and monitor progress with teachers and families.

The role is part-time, fixed term with a start date of 27 January 2027.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to students with diverse academic, physical, behavioural, or social-emotional needs.
• Support teachers in implementing adjustments and accommodations outlined in IEPs.
• Assist students to access classroom learning and participate meaningfully in school activities.
• Reinforce teaching and learning activities through small-group or one-on-one instruction.
• Support literacy, numeracy, and other intervention programs.
• Prepare or adapt learning materials and resources under teacher guidance.
• Observe and record student progress, engagement, and behaviour to inform planning.
• Maintain accurate NCCD documentation and electronic student records.
• Assist with classroom organisation, transitions, and behaviour management strategies.
• Support students during school activities and assessments as required.
• Provide general administrative support, including scanning, filing, and preparing meeting notes.
