Job summary

Mildura Primary School is seeking an experienced Learning Specialist to continue delivering high‑quality teaching while mentoring and coaching teachers across the school. The role emphasises demonstration lessons, observation, and facilitating school‑based professional learning to raise achievement, engagement and wellbeing for students.

The successful candidate will model excellence in teaching and learning, work with leadership to improve curriculum delivery, and use data to inform practice.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching across literacy and numeracy.
• Expertise in implementing high impact teaching strategies responsive to student needs.
• Ability to monitor, assess and provide feedback on student learning growth.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-level teaching expertise and model classroom practice.
• Lead professional learning and coaching to improve teacher practice.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop effective curriculum planning and school improvement strategies.
• Provide feedback based on student data to inform teaching and learning.
• Supervise and mentor pre‑service teachers and coaching staff.
• Model the use of student data to tailor teaching approaches and promote student outcomes.
