• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching practice.
• Expertise in implementing high impact teaching strategies and using data to inform practice.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, parents and community.
• Ability to model department values and support school-based professional learning.

• Demonstrate high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice.
• Model exemplary classroom practice including teaching demonstration lessons.
• Work with school leadership to define highly effective teacher practice.
• Lead and model whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning.
• Contribute to professional learning through observation, feedback protocols and peer collaboration.
• Provide evidence-based feedback to teachers to support development.
• Advise on context, processes and strategies shaping school professional learning.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers and coach teachers.
• Demonstrate use of student data to inform teaching approaches.
• Develop school-wide professional learning structures and communities.
• Seek feedback from others to improve practice through reflective inquiry.
