The Learning Specialist role is based in Victorian government schools, delivering high-quality teaching and learning while mentoring teachers, observing lessons and providing feedback. This position contributes to district priorities and professional learning across the department.

You will work with school leaders to implement curriculum planning, lead professional learning communities, model data-informed practice and support staff development across the department.

Formación

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the curriculum and high-impact teaching strategies.
• Ability to model exemplary classroom practice and provide feedback to teachers.
• Experience in leading professional learning and using data to inform practice.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate high-level teaching and learning practice in classrooms.
• Model and mentor through teaching demonstrations and feedback.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop shared views of effective teaching.
• Lead whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum delivery.
• Drive professional learning structures, observation processes and peer collaboration.
• Provide evidence-based feedback to teachers to support development.
• Mentor student teachers and coach teachers to improve practice.
• Model data-informed teaching and help staff interpret student data.
