• SC1: Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching across literacy and numeracy.
• SC2: Demonstrated expertise in high impact teaching strategies to respond to student learning needs and to evaluate learning growth.
• SC3: Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
• SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, colleagues, parents and the school community.
• SC5: Demonstrated ability to model behaviours consistent with Department values and support professional learning.
• SC6: Provide an example of culturally responsive practice in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice.
• Modeling exemplary classroom practice including through teaching demonstration lessons.
• Working with school leadership to develop a shared view of effective teacher practice.
• Leading and modelling the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies in curriculum planning and delivery.
• Providing professional learning and feedback processes for staff development.
• Supporting teachers to reflect on practice through feedback and inquiry.
• Providing expert advice to shape professional learning and staff development.
• Supervising and mentoring student teachers and coaching teachers.
• Using student data to inform teaching approaches.
