Job summary

Acme in Sydney is seeking a Transformation Business Analyst for a 12-month fixed term contract. You will lead LEAN improvement projects, map processes, identify automation opportunities and work with our Data Engineering team to quantify benefits.

Your role spans diagnosing waste to embedding standard work and tracking benefits to senior stakeholders. You will bring LEAN experience in operations, strong process mapping and FMEA skills, plus excellent communication across sites.

Qualifications

• Lean principles applied in operations.
• Process mapping and value stream mapping with workshop facilitation.
• Experience running FMEA and acting on results.
• Strong data analysis and ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Leading LEAN improvement projects from diagnosis through to implementation and benefits tracking.
• Spotting waste, bottlenecks and variation in customer-facing and back-of-house processes, and recommending practical solutions.
• Embedding standard work so improvements stick and can be repeated.
• Identifying processes that are strong candidates for automation or AI, and working with Data Engineering to assess feasibility.
• Creating and maintaining current-state and future-state process maps, including SIPOC and swimlane maps.
• Developing value stream maps to show value-adding and non-value-adding activities, lead times and handoffs.
• Using data, observation and time studies to quantify opportunities.
• Running FMEA to identify potential failure points, prioritise risk and track corrective and preventative actions with process owners.
• Supporting operational standards and audit programs by identifying recurring failures and root causes.
• Engaging and influencing stakeholders from frontline teams to senior leaders.
• Reporting on project progress and benefits delivered.
