Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Buildings + Places Structures team in Perth. You will contribute to the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio across aviation, sport, culture, education, healthcare and transport infrastructure.

You will work in a collaborative environment, mentoring junior engineers and helping maintain technical excellence. Join a global team delivering innovative, sustainable structural solutions while coordinating with multi-disciplinary groups

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
5+ years’ experience in structural engineering with focus on building structures.
Experience delivering structural design projects in a consulting environment.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software: SpaceGass, ETABS, RAPT, Structural Toolkit.
Experience with SAP2000, RAM, IdeaStatiCa, and Grasshopper is a plus.
Strong communication and stakeholder management within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the structural design and delivery of projects across market sectors.
Prepare and review structural analysis, calculations, design reports, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, NCC/BCA, and client requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical, efficient, sustainable design outcomes.
Manage project deliverables, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
