Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Building Engineering team in Perth to deliver high‑quality design solutions across health, defence, transport, data centre and other major building projects across ANZ.

You will lead mechanical design packages, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor graduates while driving project outcomes and client satisfaction. Australian citizenship preferred; hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with professional registration or working toward chartership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering mechanical design on building services projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design packages across HVAC and building services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality across calculations and design docs.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to graduates and junior engineers.
• Support delivery of multiple projects concurrently with quality outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams to drive repeat business.
