Job summary

Australian Venue Co. is recruiting a hands-on Sous Chef for a iconic riverside venue in Perth. You will lead the kitchen team, maintain high standards, and ensure smooth service across pub dining, functions and events.

The role reports to the Head Chef and focuses on delivery, training and food quality. Based at Raffles Hotel in Applecross, you’ll work a busy, collaborative kitchen with a strong emphasis on a premium yet approachable menu, great service, and waste minimisation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or CDP ready to step up.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen and supervise during busy services.
• Support Head Chef with day-to-day operations.
• Assist with ordering, stock control and waste minimisation.
• Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff.
