Job summary

Crown Perth is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead the high-volume In-Room Dining kitchen, serving hotel guests around the clock. You will work with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure exceptional food standards, efficient service, and an engaged team across multiple shifts.

You will mentor chefs, manage rostering and stock control, and drive a culture of safety and guest-focused service in a busy, hotel-based operation.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Chef with relevant culinary qualifications (Minimum Cert 3 & 4 in Commercial Cookery).
• Previous leadership experience as a Sous Chef in a hotel, resort or large hospitality environment.
• Experience working in high-volume kitchens with multiple service periods.
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of a busy In-Room Dining kitchen.
• Mentor and develop a team of chefs across shifts.
• Ensure dishes prepared to Crown's five-star standards.
• Manage service periods with quality, efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Assist rostering, labour management, stock control and operational planning.
• Drive safety, compliance, teamwork and exceptional customer service.
