Job summary

VenuesWest in Australia is seeking a qualified Sous Chef to lead food production across our cafes, functions and events at the Perth High Performance Centre in Mount Claremont. You will assist with menu planning and costing, ensure portion, stock, wastage control and maintain strict Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.

The role requires shift flexibility with penalties and overtime, 152 hours every 4 weeks, and possible mobility between facilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chef with experience in high-volume catering and large-scale events.
• Strong kitchen leadership and team coordination skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food production for cafes, functions and events.
• Assist in menu planning and costings for menus.
• Maintain portion control, stock management, wastage control, staff training, and health and food safety compliance.
