Vision Radiology is seeking a Lead Receptionist for the Greensborough clinic to oversee a busy reception team. Reporting to the Clinic Partner, you will manage day-to-day operations, bookings, registrations and patient interactions to ensure a smooth, welcoming patient experience.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on maintaining high standards and guiding the team.

Qualifications

• Senior reception or team leadership experience.
• Medical, radiology or allied health reception experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication and people skills with the confidence to manage difficult conversations.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
• Calm, practical approach to problem-solving.
• A supportive leader who can motivate a team while maintaining high standards.
• Strong customer service and a genuine commitment to patient care.
• Good computer skills with experience using medical booking or radiology systems.

Full-Time | 38 Hours Per Week | Monday–Friday | No Weekends

Vision Radiology is an independent, locally owned radiology group run by subspecialised radiologists. With 27 clinics across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, we are committed to providing patients and referrers with high-quality care in a welcoming and professional environment.

Our Greensborough clinic provides a range of imaging services, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, cardiac CT, women's and pregnancy imaging, musculoskeletal imaging and image-guided procedures.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Receptionist to oversee our busy Greensborough reception team.

Working closely with the Clinic Partner, you will play an important role in the day‑to‑day running of the clinic, supporting the reception team, managing workflow and ensuring patients receive a positive experience.

This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys supporting their team, managing competing priorities and helping create a well‑organised and efficient clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and mentor the reception team.

• Work closely with the Clinic Partner to manage the day‑to‑day operations of the clinic.

• Oversee front desk operations, including bookings, patient registrations, billing and phone enquiries.

• Handle patient concerns and complaints professionally and effectively.

• Support staff with day‑to‑day issues and provide guidance when needed.

• Assist with rostering, staff coverage and managing workflow.

• Work collaboratively with radiographers, sonographers and radiologists to ensure the clinic runs smoothly.

• Assist with training and onboarding new staff and maintaining consistent processes.

• Monitor reception standards and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Remain hands‑on with reception duties and lead by example.

About You

• Previous experience in a senior reception, team leader or leadership role.

• Medical, radiology or allied health reception experience will be highly regarded.

• Strong communication and people skills, with the confidence to manage difficult conversations.

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment.

• A calm, practical approach to problem‑solving.

• A supportive leader who can motivate a team while maintaining high standards.

• Strong customer service skills and a genuine commitment to patient care.
