Working for a dynamic engineering firm based in Perth, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Project Engineer to work on various projects, representing the owner’s team on Gold Projects from study through to commissioning.

About The Role

Based in Perth, with the opportunity for future site work, you will support the Project Manager to successfully deliver a number of multi‑disciplinary mining projects, ensuring they are delivered on budget, within schedule and to a high level of quality.

• Assist the Project Manager.
• Project planning and reporting.
• Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes.
• Prepare, adjudicate and award tender and contractor packages.
• Manage interfaces with vendors, contractors and sub‑contractors.
• Monitor performance of vendors, contractors and sub‑contractors.
• Provide on‑site construction support.
• Resolve technical and design issues.
• Liaise with key stakeholders on technical and project delivery aspects.
• Perth‑based role with eventual site presence through construction and commissioning.
• Work on local and international projects.

About You

• Able to identify project risks and adopt mitigative strategies.
• Package engineering experience highly regarded.
• Cost and schedule responsibility.
• Estimating and tendering experience, highly regarded.
• Previous experience in mining projects.
• A recognised engineering degree.
• Experience in the mining industry (essential).
• Ideally SMP background, but not essential.
• Significant understanding and practice of Occupational Health and Safety.
