Job summary

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to lead the night team and ensure a safe, seamless overnight operation. You will supervise the Front Office, lobby, portering and in-room dining, while upholding Sofitel standards and guest satisfaction.

The role requires night audit experience, strong cash handling knowledge, and proficiency with Opera PMS. NSW RSA and First Aid are required, with availability for overnight shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Front Office or Night Audit experience in a hotel, ideally luxury.
• Confident knowledge of night audit, cash handling and banking.
• Proficiency with Opera PMS or a similar system.

Responsibilities

• Lead the night shift, supervising staff across Front Office, lobby, portering and in-room dining.
• Oversee night audit in Opera PMS, ensure balanced transactions and cash controls.
• Handle overbookings, security incidents and guest complaints with calm, decisive judgment.
• Maintain a visible after-hours presence and uphold Sofitel standards.
• Coach and train night team members and hand over to day management.
