Randstad Pty in the NSW Southern Highlands seeks a Senior Electrical Lead/Principal Electrical Project Engineer to own EI&C design for a $100M brownfield upgrade at a regional mining operation.

You will manage a dedicated internal team and contractors, oversee HV reticulation, protection settings, PLC/SCADA integration, and site energisation while ensuring compliance with NSW mining safety standards. 10+ years of post- graduate experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (CPEng status or eligibility highly regarded).
• 10+ years’ post-graduate experience delivering complex industrial power and capital projects; discipline lead experience preferred.
• Proven track record in high-voltage distribution, substations, switchgear, protection coordination, earthing design, and transformer specs.

Responsabilités

• Own the electrical basis of design and ensure technical integrity across EI&C packages.
• Lead HV reticulation, regional power supply realignment, substations, transformers, switchrooms, and MCCs.
• Manage NSP interfaces, protection settings, and outage tie-in sequencing to minimise disruption.
