Job summary
RGIT Australia seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical power projects across mining, utilities, and industrial sectors. You will own technical delivery from concept through commissioning, with focus on HV/LV systems, protection and control interfaces.
Ideal candidates hold a degree in electrical engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with ETAP/PowerFactory/SCADA tools, and are eligible for RPEQ registration.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years' experience.
- Experience delivering electrical power system projects in mining/utilities/power generation.
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV power systems and protection.
- Experience with ETAP, PowerFactory, SKM PowerTools, PowerCAD or PSCAD.
- Understanding of industrial control systems, PLC/SCADA (desirable).
- RPEQ registration or pursuit of RPEQ.
Responsibilities
- Deliver HV and LV electrical projects from concept to commissioning.
- Conduct power system studies: load flow, short circuit, protection, arc flash, earthing, PQ.
- Prepare single line diagrams, protection schematics, specs, reports.
- Provide FAT, SAT, commissioning and site support.
- Lead technical delivery and mentor engineers.
- Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
