Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer

About the Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer to join a well-established engineering team supporting multiple mining, metals and mineral processing projects. This role is ideally suited to an engineer with strong brownfield project experience, particularly within copper, base metals, mineral processing, heavy industry or resources environments. You'll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from early scoping and concept development through to detailed design, construction support and commissioning. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide practical, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions while managing stakeholder relationships and delivering multiple projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical engineering solutions across concept, design, execution and commissioning phases.

Principal Engineer Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring.
• Lead discipline deliverables and project resources.
• Act as the primary client interface for electrical engineering matters.
• Manage technical risk, design reviews and engineering quality.
• Coordinate discipline activities across multiple projects and teams.

About You

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years' experience within mining, minerals, metals, energy or heavy industrial sectors.
• Strong brownfield project experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience delivering projects from concept through to execution.
• Strong client engagement and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent understanding of Australian electrical standards.
