Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a major regional mining operation in the Southern Highlands to deliver a $100M critical infrastructure upgrade. We seek a Senior Electrical Lead to own EI&C scope across a brownfield capital program, managing an internal team and specialist contractors in a live plant environment.

You will drive design assurance, HV realignment, switchrooms, PLC/SCADA integration, and energisation, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely handovers on a 20-month fixed-term contract

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Chartered Engineer status is highly regarded.
• Minimum 10+ years' post-graduate experience delivering complex industrial power and capital projects, with experience as a discipline lead.
• HV switching/access authorisation capability is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical basis of design across EI&C packages, ensuring integrity and compliance with Australian Standards.
• Lead HV reticulation and power supply realignment, substations, transformers, switchrooms, MCCs.
• Manage NSP interfaces, protection settings, outage sequencing to avoid disruption to live operations.
• Oversee PLC/SCADA integration and field instrumentation architecture for safe operation.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate tenders, manage FAT, and direct site installation contractors.
• Supervise site installation, pre-commissioning, energisation, testing, and handover.
• Ensure NSW Mining health and safety regulations are followed and arc flash controls are implemented.
