Job summary

Edge Early Learning’s Flagstone centre is seeking a dedicated Lead Educator to mentor and support a team, deliver engaging EYLF-aligned programs and partner with the Centre Director and Educational Leader to shape a positive centre culture. You’ll lead our Nursery/Toddler/Kindergarten/Float Room and help children thrive.

Applicants should hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), with relevant lead educator experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma holders: minimum 2 years' Lead Educator experience.
• Graduate Diploma/Master of Teaching: 3-4 years' Educator experience or 2+ years' Lead Educator experience in Australian long day care.
• Experience leading a room in a long day care setting.
• Confidence mentoring other educators.
• Strong understanding of the NQF and EYLF.
• Passion for creating engaging learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor educators.
• Deliver engaging educational programs aligned to the EYLF.
• Build strong relationships with children and families.
• Create safe, inclusive learning environments.
• Support continuous improvement and quality outcomes.

Education

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or recognised equivalent at Children's Services Employee Level 4+)

Graduate Diploma / Masters of Teaching with the required long day care experience
