Job summary

Edge Early Learning is seeking a Lead Educator to mentor the team, deliver engaging programs aligned to the EYLF, and help shape a positive centre culture. You’ll lead the Nursery Room alongside an experienced Centre Director and Educational Leader, supporting the development of strong relationships with children and families.

You will oversee safe, inclusive learning environments and drive continuous improvement to achieve high-quality outcomes within a supportive, growth-focused center.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher required for lead educator role.
• Experience leading a room in a long day care setting is preferred.
• Must meet Working with Children Check and other compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or recognised equivalent at Children’s Services Employee Level 4+)
  OR Graduate Diploma / Masters of Teaching with the required long day care experience

Experience (within a long day care setting)

• Diploma holders: minimum 2 years' Lead Educator experience.
• Graduate Diploma/Master of Teaching: 3–4 years' Educator experience or 2+ years' Lead Educator experience in Australian long day care.
• Experience leading a room in a long day care setting
• Confidence mentoring other educators
• Strong understanding of the NQF and EYLF
• Passion for creating engaging learning environments

Compliance Documentation

• Working with Children Check, mandatory
• National Child Safety Training (GECCKO)
• RRHAN Fundamentals & Masterclass (SA where applicable)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
