Job summary

Journey Early Learning Echuca West is seeking a Lead Educator to guide a toddlers environment, lead programming and foster meaningful, play-based learning aligned with children’s interests. Join a supportive Centre Leadership Team and help shape the centre’s culture from the ground up.

You will mentor educators, build strong relationships with families, and ensure safe, inclusive learning spaces while focusing on reflective practice and high-quality EYLF experiences.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (essential).
• National Child Safety Training + Victorian Child Protection Training.
• Experience as a Lead Educator or ready to step into leadership.
• Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning.
• Passion for creating meaningful learning experiences for children.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Experience with Storypark or similar platforms is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of your learning environment.
• Create engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Lead programming, observations, documentation and reflective practice.
• Mentor and support educators within your team.
• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for children.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and safeguarding.
• Contribute to a positive team culture.
