Job summary

Edge Early Learning in Maryborough, QLD, is seeking a Lead Educator to mentor a team, deliver engaging EYLF-aligned programs in the PreKindy room, and foster a positive centre culture. You will work with a Centre Director and Educational Leader to support children’s learning and wellbeing.

The role requires a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or a recognised equivalent, with two to four years of relevant experience in a long day care setting, and a NSW/QLD Working with Children Check

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or recognised equivalent at Children's Services Employee Level 4+)
  OR Graduate Diploma / Masters of Teaching with the required long day care experience

Experience (within a long day care setting)

• Diploma holders: minimum 2 years' Lead Educator experience.
• Graduate Diploma/Master of Teaching: 3-4 years' Educator experience or 2+ years' Lead Educator experience in Australian long day care.
• Experience leading a room in a long day care setting
• Confidence mentoring other educators
• Strong understanding of the NQF and EYLF
• Passion for creating engaging learning environments

Compliance Documentation

• Working with Children Check, mandatory
• National Child Safety Training (GECCKO)
• RRHAN Fundamentals & Masterclass (SA where applicable)
• ACT Child Abuse and Neglect Training (where applicable)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
