Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a Design Coordinator for a well-established Western Australia commercial builder delivering a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects. You will report to the senior project leadership and coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, ensuring alignment with programme, budget, buildability and project requirements.

• Experience in design coordination within the commercial construction sector.
• Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage design documentation across architectural, structural and building services.
• Liaise with external consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to meet requirements.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies and buildability issues.
• Monitor design programmes, deliverables and approvals to align with milestones.
• Facilitate design coordination meetings and drive resolution of technical matters.
• Support value engineering initiatives to improve design efficiency and outcomes.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure smooth transition from design to delivery.
