Job summary

Morson Edge in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to lead the design coordination on a major high-rise project. You will work with the project team, consultants and subcontractors from design development through to delivery.

This role focuses on managing design information, RFIs, design changes and ensuring timely delivery within the construction program. Applicants should have a background in commercial construction and qualifications in construction management, architecture

Qualifications

• Experience in a Design role within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of the construction delivery process.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering documentation.
• Proactive in identifying and resolving design issues.
• Qualifications in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design consultants, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
• Manage design documentation, RFIs, design changes and technical queries.
• Coordinate design packages through the project lifecycle.
• Monitor design deliverables against project timeframes.
• Assist with design development, buildability and constructability reviews.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Coordinator to join a well-established construction business delivering a major high‑rise project in Brisbane.

This is a great opportunity for a Design Coordinator looking to take ownership of a significant project, working closely with the project team, consultants, subcontractors and design stakeholders from design development through to delivery.

The Role

As Design Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the design process and ensuring all design information is properly managed, resolved and delivered to support the construction program.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating design consultants, architects, engineers and subcontractors
• Managing design documentation, RFIs, design changes and technical queries
• Coordinating design packages through the project lifecycle
• Monitoring design deliverables against project timeframes
• Assisting with design development, buildability and constructability reviews
• Attending design and project coordination meetings

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in a Design role within commercial construction
• Strong understanding of the construction delivery process
• Strong ability to interpret architectural and engineering documentation
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving design issues
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline
