Job summary

Three Blue Ducks Burradoo is seeking an experienced Cook/Chef for a permanent full-time role. You will lead a team, design menus, manage food costs, and ensure excellence in dish quality from prep to plate.

As a senior kitchen professional, you will mentor staff, uphold hygiene standards, and coordinate with front-of-house. A Trade certificate in Commercial Cookery (Cert IV Kitchen Management preferred) or a Diploma in Hospitality Management is required, with 2–3 years of managerial experience

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in Commercial Cookery (Cert IV Kitchen Management) is mandatory.
• Diploma in Hospitality Management is highly desirable.
• 2–3 years of managerial experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Design menus, calculate food costs and procure supplies.
• Supervise dish quality during prep and plating.
• Consult with kitchen staff and servers on food prep matters.
• Demonstrate methods and train staff on cooking techniques.
• Prepare and cook meals.
• Educate on hygiene standards and ensure compliance.
