Job summary

Australian Payments Plus is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to guide analysis across key initiatives, lead and develop a team of business analysts, and turn complex business needs into practical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders across business and technology to shape priorities, requirements and recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years progressive business analysis experience on complex initiatives.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team of business analysts.
• Strong skills in business situation analysis, feasibility assessment, business case development and requirements management.
• Confidence modelling business processes and data, translating findings into clear recommendations.
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing and assessing whether solutions meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Delivery Lead and Project Managers to ensure business analysis activities support project delivery.
• Lead analysis across the project lifecycle, including business cases, feasibility assessments, impact analysis and project scoping.
• Guide requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, prioritisation and management through delivery and into operations.
• Develop and oversee business process, data and other models that support sound decisions and effective solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, bringing different perspectives together and resolving competing priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, assess risks and recommend options that support business goals.
• Communicate findings, progress and recommendations clearly to business and technology audiences.
• Maintain the quality and consistency of the team's analysis deliverables.
• Coach and mentor business analysts, supporting their performance and professional growth.
• Contribute to the wider Business Analysis community through thought leadership and continuous improvement of methods and standards.
