Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT Port Macquarie is seeking a friendly Laundry Assistant to maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents. You will handle clothing, linen and items across the laundry service, supporting dignity and wellbeing with reliable, respectful service.

This casual relief role offers approximately 10-15 hours per week, with shifts including Saturdays and Sundays and occasional short-notice cover. Training and development support ensure you grow in a caring workplace.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry experience (Desirable, not mandatory).
• Experience in community care or aged care is a bonus.

Situated in Port Macquarie, Uniting Mingaletta is a residential aged care facility offering a welcoming living environment. Our facility is designed using the household model of care. Role Overview:

As a Laundry Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a comfortable, welcoming and well-maintained environment for our residents. Working across Laundry services, you’ll support the cleaning, handling and distribution of residents’ clothing, linen and other items ensuring everything is cared for and returned appropriately. This resident-focused role helps promote dignity, comfort, independence and wellbeing while delivering high-quality laundry services across the home.

This is a casual relief position, offering approximately 10-15 hours per week. Shifts will vary based on operational needs and may include Saturday and Sunda hours, as well as short notice sick leave coverage.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous laundry experience (Desirable, not mandatory)


• Previous experience in community care or aged care is a bonus
