Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT Port Macquarie is seeking a friendly Laundry Assistant to maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents. You will handle clothing, linen and items across the laundry service, supporting dignity and wellbeing with reliable, respectful service.

This casual relief role offers approximately 10-15 hours per week, with shifts including Saturdays and Sundays and occasional short-notice cover. Training and development support ensure you grow in a caring workplace.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry experience (Desirable, not mandatory).
• Experience in community care or aged care is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Support the cleaning, handling and distribution of residents’ clothing, linen and other items to ensure care and return.
• Help create a comfortable, welcoming and well-maintained environment across the laundry services.
• This casual relief role includes approximately 10-15 hours per week with Saturday/Sunday shifts and short-notice cover.
