Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a Part-time Laundry Assistant for the Nambucca Heads residence to support residents with clean clothing and linens, promoting dignity and comfort.

The role involves early shifts across a 48-hour fortnight, with some short-notice coverage. Training is provided in a supportive not-for-profit environment, including wellbeing programs and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry or textile services is preferred.
• Experience in community care or aged care is a bonus.

About Uniting Pacifica, Nambucca Heads:

Uniting Pacifica Nambucca Heads is set across four storeys, each with resident bedrooms and communal spaces, including lounges, dining rooms, and kitchenettes. On the ground floor, there's a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Our Leisure and Wellness Team ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

Role Overview:

As a Laundry Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a comfortable, welcoming and well-maintained environment for our residents. Working across Laundry services, you'll support the cleaning, handling and distribution of residents' clothing, linen and other items ensuring everything is cared for and returned appropriately. This resident-focused role helps promote dignity, comfort, independence and wellbeing while delivering high-quality laundry services across the home.

This is a permanent part-time position working 48 hours per fortnight, with shifts from 6:30am-2:30pm. Some flexibility is required to provide additional leave coverage when needed, including occasional shifts at short notice.

Week 1: Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Week 2: Monday, Thursday & Friday

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous laundry experience (Desirable, not mandatory)
• Previous experience in community care or aged care is a bonus
